Liz, a former TV journalist, stumbled into entrepreneurship during her global career. In New York, she spotted a business opportunity in the barre workout trend and, facing the GFC downturn in 2011, became Australia's first Xtend Barre franchisee with her husband.
Over eight years, Liz expanded to four locations, transforming Xtend Barre into a household name in Australia. Leveraging her media skills, she now teaches small to media enterprise businesses (SMEs) through her Media Masterclass to use publicity for brand growth. Liz's success led to recognitions like being in the Top 100 Most Influential Women in Franchising in 2020 and winning the 2019 Australian Franchise Council's Woman of the Year. In 2018, she was awarded Xtend Barre Franchisee and Businessperson of the Year, with her Mosman studio named Fitness Business of the Year. Liz's journey illustrates the impact of combining media expertise with entrepreneurial spirit.
